launchU is an annual “shark tank” style startup challenge and is open to anyone with a startup idea! The next launchU competition will be held on May 16, 2024
How does it work?
Participants will have the opportunity to bring their business idea to life with the help of Harrisburg University faculty, staff, and mentors. Participants will learn the basics of entrepreneurship, refine the idea, and pitch it at a capstone competition showcase. Three winners will be selected by a formal judging committee and awarded prizes. One grand prize winner will be selected to incubate his or her business idea through the Harrisburg University innovation lab.
How are winners chosen?
Our team of judges will watch and review all of the pitches and award prizes to 3 teams:
- Best High School Team
- Best College Team
- Best Overall Team
A team who wins best High School or College will not win best Overall.
